I have always had a knack for understanding how things fit together, whether it’s a physical object, data, a business process, or a team of people. Growing up I wasn’t pretending to drive the matchbox cars across an imaginary road on the floor. I was figuring out how to build a track, with a ramp at the end to launch my cars into a box where I could easily bring them back to the couch to start the process all over again.
I have been blessed to have people in my life that would give me the tools and help needed to turn my ideas and designs into a reality. Even though it resulted in my father never knowing where his tools were and my mother finding nails and chunks of wood in areas of her house that you would never expect to find them.
I decided that all this hoopla about what sales people should be and what tactics they should use to close the next sale just doesn’t work for me. My target customers are people that love technology and delivering solutions to meet the performance, security, and functional needs of the business. Well, I really like working with people, have a passion for technology and love delivering solutions that help people drive business forward.
Then it just comes down to having the tools and resources to turn ideas and designs into reality. That’s where Arbor Solutions comes into the equation. The Arbor team itself is absolutely phenomenal and can deploy some of the best talent in the industry. George Slater, Larry Bolhuis, Larry Stegman, Tim Hamm, Mark Milham, Tyler Barnes, and Scott Palma to name a few. Some of these professionals you may know and some of them reside in the IT underground (If you’re not familiar read my article “The underground IT development super hero’s). Arbor has also given me direct access to dedicated teams at IBM, Microsoft, Arrow, Tech Data, CDW, Redhat, and Service Express. These relationships with the Arbor team along with great vendor relationships give me the tools to deliver great solutions for my customers. I love hearing “Really? We can do that? And stay under budget?”.
So in a world where businesses are specializing in certain products and pushing hard selling sales people to saturate the market we are delivering innovative solutions that fit the customers need.
Reality is that I’m still just a man who loves utilizing his resources to design, build, and deliver great solutions to great people.
